Steve DeVore

Steve was raised in the quiet cornfield community of Muscatine, Iowa on the Mississippi River. Steve is proud of his mid-western roots but always harbored a penchant for the film industry and the dream of a career in Los Angeles. Fresh out of high school he earned an associate degree in Film Production and then a degree in Film Studies from the University of Iowa.  Armed with his diplomas and a determination to realize his dream, Steve moved to Los Angeles in 2000. Always the entrepreneur, while getting his feet wet on commercial sets Steve founded Devo Communications, Inc, a business that supplies production companies with walkie-talkies to facilitate communication on sets. Devo Communications continues to flourish.  In March of 2011 Steve teamed up with Oscar Nominee, Matthew Cooke, and launched One Yard Line Entertainment, a

trans-media production company.

As his experience in the industry developed, Steve became a sought-after commercial producer and built a resume in film and TV production as well. His work has taken him to shoots throughout the USA, Latin America and Europe.  Steve has earned a reputation for keeping budgets in-check while still delivering an outstanding end product.  He has produced projects for award-winning directors, most recently Rupert Wainwright who directed “Stigmata”. In 2010, he produced the award-winning film that won Russia the 2018 World Cup Hosting Nation.  In 2012, Steve won the Sports Emmy for the  “Most Outstanding Live Special” with Fox Sports while producing stories for the 2011 World Series.

Over the years, Steve has developed a strong network of colleagues in the business and keen sense for projects with potential for commercial success. One Yard Line is his effort to provide a forum to bring those projects to fruition.

Steve lives in Hermosa Beach, CA, his home for the last 11 years.
